Ratio and proportion is a skill that is used all the time… even though we may not realize it. It is an important GED math concept to know and practice.

Bring in cookies and talk about how ratio and concept is used in our everyday life. It is used when we plan a party, when we determine how much gas we can put in our car, or how much paint will be needed when painting our home.

Ratio is when you are comparing two numbers and there are three ways it can be written. 3 to 2, 3/2, or 3:2

Remember to write the ratio in the order given in the order given in the problem.
